Proper care is required for hair extensions:

Ø      Hydrating shampoos such as: Goldwell, Kerasilk, Ionix are recommended. 

Ø     Hydrating conditioners such as: Goldwell Kerasilk, Joico Reconstruct.

Ø      Use extensions brushes especially for individual hair extensions.  One brush is to use on your scalp, the other for the extension hair.

Ø      After washing, first comb out hair from end to root with wide toothcomb.  Do not pull on extensions when drying hair.  To wear straight hair, use your hands and a blow-dryer followed by a flatiron.

Ø      Do not wash hair before going to bed.  Hair must be dry before sleeping.

Ø      Do not wear extensions wet.  It is important to make sure the roots are dry.

Ø      Do not put conditioner or other products which are oily or slippery on the root of your hair if you are using the microcylinder or hairlocs attachment – it encourages them to slide out.

Ø      Do not shampoo every day.  Limit shampooing to 2 – 3 times per week.

Ø      Avoid swimming pools and the ocean water.  If you must, tightly braid your hair.
